By accessing or using Memory Mate (“the Service”, “we”, “our”, or “us”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

Memory Mate is a web-based AI application that enables users to:
	•	Upload educational materials
	•	Interact with an AI tutor via voice
	•	Receive spoken or written responses powered by AI models (e.g. ElevenLabs)

We may add or remove features at our discretion.

3. User Responsibilities

By using this service, you agree that you will:
	•	Use the service only for lawful purposes
	•	Not upload or input any harmful, offensive, or copyrighted content you don’t have rights to
	•	Not abuse API rate limits or attempt to reverse-engineer the platform

4. User-Provided API Keys

If you supply your own ElevenLabs API key:
	•	You remain responsible for activity under that key
	•	We will store it securely encrypted and use it only to generate voice output on your behalf
	•	You may remove or update your key at any time via the app

5. Ownership and Intellectual Property

All app source code, UI design, and functionality remain the intellectual property of Memory Mate. You retain ownership of your uploaded content and notes.

AI-generated content (text or speech) is provided “as is”.

6. Disclaimer of Warranty

The Service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. We make no guarantees about the accuracy, reliability, or availability of the Service.

Use of AI-generated educational or medical content is at your own discretion. It is not a replacement for professional instruction or advice.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Memory Mate will not be liable for:
	•	Loss of data
	•	Service interruptions
	•	AI-generated content errors
	•	User misuse of uploaded material or API keys

8. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or abuse the platform.

You may delete your account or request data removal by contacting us.
